About the South Africa Traveller Declaration
The South Africa Traveller Declaration is a document that passengers must have to enter the country.
It is a relatively recent entry requirement, introduced in November 2022. It was implemented in phases, first being used only at Durban King Shaka International Airport (DUR), followed by Cape Town International Airport (CPT) on 28 February 2023. Other South African airports and seaports began using the Declaration throughout 2023.
The South Africa Traveller Declaration is granted through an online application system. It was introduced to make it quick and simple for all passengers to make the Declaration.
Applicants must provide their personal details, travel information, passport data, and contact info.
